The lessons in today's scripture are for the generation after Jehoshua died (Judges 3:1-6)
Today marks the 67th anniversary of the beginning of the Korea War. On June 25， 1950. North Korea invaded South Korea; causing South Koreans to suffer for 3years 1month. Therefore， on the anniversary every year. South Koreans are reminded how thankful they are to not be under communist rule. they are grateful to God， and grateful to all the soldiers that risked their lines for their freedom - especially， all of the soldiers that conce from the United States of America. the lessons in today's scripture are for the generation after Jehoshua died. This era marks a tine where the people were led by prophets， and did experience war. What were the lessons that God wanted to teach them? First， 주적의식을 심어주기 위함입니다. God ordered that they annihilate everyone in canaan. Second， is to recognize God's power. The only way to come out victorious in a state of war is with God's strength， and through god's blessing. For example， like the collapse of Jericho castle. Third， is to teach the Israelites that war is the result of crime. The reason they went to war is a punishment for going against God's will. If you do not wish to go war; you must repent. I bless that we do not repeat history， and learn from past mistakes.
2017. 06. 25 - 전쟁을 모르는 세대에게 주는 교훈 (삿 3:1-6)
오늘은 67년 전에 한국전쟁이 일어난 날입니다. 1950년 6월 25일에 북한이 남침함에 따라 남한은 무려 3년 1개월 동안 극심한 고통을 겪었습니다. 그래서 한국에서는 625사변을 기억하여 공산화되지 않게 지켜주신 하나님께 감사하고 희생하신 분들게도 감사하고 있습니다. 특별히 미국에서 한국을 위해 많은 지원과 군인을 보내주심에 감사를 드립니다. 오늘 말씀은 여호수아가 죽은 이후의 사사시대로서 전쟁을 알지 못하는 세대에게 교훈을 주고자 함입니다. 그러면 하나님이 이들에게 주시고자 하신 교훈은 무엇인가요? 첫째， 주적의식을 심어주기 위함입니다. 가나안 땅에 있는 민족들은 섬멸해야 한다는 것입니다. 둘째， 전쟁 가운데 행하신 하나님의 능력과 은혜를 알게 하기 위함입니다. 여리고성 함락 때처럼 하나님의 능력과 은혜를 기억하라는 것입니다. 셋째， 전쟁은 죄악의 결과라는 것을 알려주시기 위함입니다. 그래서 이스라엘 사람들은 하나님의 뜻을 거역했기 때문에 대적들에게 많은 고통을 당했던 것입니다. 그러므로 전쟁이 일어나지 않으려면 회개해야 합니다. 아무쪼록 전쟁 역사의 교훈을 깨달음으로 조국을 지켜나가시는 성도님들이 다 되시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원드립니다.
