How to celebrate the feast of Harvest (Exodus 23:14-19)
This week is dedicated to celebrate the feast of harvest. The feast of harvest is meant to thank God for a peaceful first half of the year. Although we are not of Hebrew decent， why should we honor the feast of harvest? It is because it was an order from God and it is our duty to pass this tradition from generation to generation that we were connected by covenant from God. It is because we are also a selected spiritual children of God as well.
God wanted the Israelites to always remember and be thankful of the fact he rescued them from slavery in Egypt. God wanted the Israelites to be eternally grateful to him. Same as this， God wants us to be eternally grateful for God's grace. Therefore， whatever situation we may in， we must always remember God's grace; and give glory to god. This is how we celebrate the feast of harvest. I bless that you all may live a glorious life.
2017. 07. 02 - 맥추절을 어떻게 지켜야 하는가? (출 23:14-17)
오늘은 맥추감사주일입니다. 맥추절은 한 해의 절반을 평안하게 잘지내도록 하신 하나님께 감사하는 날입니다.
그런데우리는 이스라엘 백성의 후손도 아닌데 굳이맥추절을 지켜야 하는 이유가 무엇일까요? 그것은 하나님의 명령이고 대대로 지킬 영원한 규례이 며 우리는 하나님과 언약으로 맺어진 영적 이스라엘 백성이기 때문입니다.
하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성들이 애굽 땅의 종 되었던 집에서 나왔다는 사실을 기억하기를 원하셨던 것입니다. 그 이유는 하나님의 사랑에 감사하기 위함입니다. 이처럼 우리도 그동안 받은 하나님의 은혜를 기억하고 감사해야 하는 것입니다. 그래서 우리는 어떤 상황에 처하든지 항상 하나님의 은혜를 기억하고 감사하며 하나님께 영광 돌리는 삶을 살아야 합니다. 그것이 바로 맥추감사주일을 지키는 이유인 것입니다. 이런 성도님들이 다 되시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원드립니다.
