If you want to be useful to God (2Timothy 2:20-22)
Every christianity wants to be a useful subject to God. However， why do some people become useful to God and most do not? There are three explanations for this. If we were to compare ourselves to bowls; God is looking for a clean bowl to use.
Today's scripture tells us that if we are bowls， than the church is our big home. As a house is filled with many bowls， the church is filled with many members that have received different amnesties from God. However out of all the bowls - the clean bowls will be chosen by God. This is because the clear bowls are prepared and worthy to be used by God.
Second， is to avoid all the lusts that are brought on in our youth. These lusts are influential for the rest of our lives before we mature. Therefore， we must avoid all situations that entice sinful behavior.
Third， we must surround ourselves with people that seek the Lord with pure intentions. This is because living a life for the Lord is hard to endure alone. Therefore， we must live with people that have a strong thirst to be in the Kingdom of God. We must live with all this in mind to be used by God， and I bless that you all will live your lives like this.
2017. 08. 06 - 하나님께 쓰임 받기를 원한다면 (딤후 2:20-22)
그리스도인이라면 누구나 하나님께 쓰임 받기를 원하고 있습니다. 그런데도 누구는 쓰임을 받는가 하면 누구는 쓰임 받지 못하고 있는 것일까요? 그것은 3가지 이유 때문입니다. 첫째는 그릇이 깨끗한 사람이 쓰임 받는다는 것입니다.
본문에는 그릇 비유를 통해서 교회를 큰 집에 비유하고 우리들은 그릇으로 비유하고 있습니다. 큰 집에 다양한 그릇이 많은 것처럼 교회는 다양한 은사를 가진 성도들이 모여 이루어졌다는 것입니다. 그런데 이 수많은 그릇들 중에 쓰임 받는 그릇은 깨끗한 그릇이라는 것입니다. 그래야만이 주님의 쓰심에 합당하며 모든 선한 일에 준비함이 될 수가 있다는 것입니다.
둘째는 청년의 정욕을 피해야 한다는 것입니다. 이는 성숙하지 못하여 나오는 나쁜 것들을 말합니다. 그래서 죄를 짓는 자리에서는 도망가라는 것입니다.
셋째는 주님을 깨끗한 마음으로 부르는 자들과 함께 해야 한다는 것입니다. 왜냐하면 주님을 위한 삶이 혼자서는 어렵기 때문입니다. 그래서 하나님의 나라를 갈망하는 사람들과 함께 살아가라는 것입니다. 이렇게 살아야 주님께 쓰임 받을 수가 있는 것입니다. 이런 사람 되시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원드립니다.
