God's word and our faith (Hebrew 11:20)
As Christianity， we must obey God's word. However， there are many that know God's word but do not obey by it. In today's scripture， Isaac is an example of one that did not follow God's word.
God clearly told Isaac about how his twin son's future since they were in the womb. However Isaac chose to disregard God and favored the older twin. In the end， though， as God told Isaac - Jacob received the blessings. Although the way Jacob was blessed was wrong; that was God’s plan.
Isaac was very angry when he realized that he was fooled by Jacob. He was angry， though， that Jacob had tricked him - he was mad that his plan to bless Esau failed， and that was accomplished as God had planned. Later on once Isaac realized that he should have listened to God in - he first place - he blessed Jacob on his own accord.
And through his faith he was able to bless Esau and Jacob's future. Therefore， we must constantly look over God's meaning of our lives. This is because God's word will always triumph. I bless that we all will obey God’s will through our faith.
2017. 08. 13 - 하나님의 뜻과 믿음 (히 11:20)
기독교인이라면 누구나 하나님의 뜻에 순종해야 합니다. 그런데 하나님의 뜻을 알면서도 순종하지 않는 사람들이 있습니다. 오늘 본문에 나오는 이삭이 그런 사람입니다.
분명히 하나님께서 두 아들에 대한 말씀을 태중에 있을 때부터 주셨건만 이삭은 자기가 좋아하는 에서를 장자로 삼고자 하였던 것입니다. 그러나 결국은 하나님의 뜻대로 야곱이 장자의 축복을 받게 되었습니다. 비록 방법은 잘못 되었지만 하나님의 뜻대로 이루어진 것입니다.
이삭은 자신이 야곱에게 속은 것을 알았을 때 심히 크게 떨었다고 하였습니다. 이는 야곱에게 속은 것 때문에 분해서 떤 것이 아닙니다. 자신의 의도와는 다르게 하나님이 뜻하신 대로 되었기 때문에 심히 크게 떨었던 것입니다. 이에 뒤늦게 이 사실을 깨달은 이삭은 비로소 자신의 의지를 꺾고 야곱을 다시 축복합니다.
그래서 믿음으로 이삭은 장차 있을 일에 대하여 야곱과 에서에게 축복한 것입니다. 그러므로 우리는 항상 하나님의 뜻이 무엇인지를 깊이 있게 살펴보아야 합니다. 왜냐하면 언젠가는 반드시 하나님의 뜻은 이루어지기 때문입니다. 우리 모두 주님의 뜻에 순종하는 사람들이 다 되시기를 축원 드립니다.
